This is a great alternative to the OEM switches which after about 10-12yrs start to become "gooey". The old switches feel like someone left some fried chicken on your windows switches. Yuck. While an OEM replacement can run up to $200 for the whole switch (typ. <$150), these cars are at the age where I'm not sure an owner will expect it to run another 10-12yrs. Enter these alternatives.The window switches themselves have the same "click" feel of the OEM switches, but the lock and ON/OFF switch are much tougher to press and feel a bit hollow. The plastic on these switches is a typical "Toyota" hard plastic. Durable, and works great, but it does NOT have the looks nor the fit and finish of the OEM "Volvo" switches.It's great to have choices, and in this case I chose to save $75 to fix other things on our S70.Oh and forget about USED OEM switches - they're all goo by now.

No problems with the switch. It fit perfectly and the material seems to be better than the original piece. It cost a little more than some others on the internet but is worth it and is still much lower than an OEM piece. The regular shipping also arrived faster than estimated. This was the second of the same switch I bought for the car in the past few months. The first switch was bought on eBay and was less expensive. When I tried to install it, it did not fit in the position, had no directions on how to install it, plus some of the switches were spotty and did not work all of the time. I returned it with a letter and follow up email to the company and eBay but did not get a reply nor a refund. Hence, why I tried Switch Doctor and the Switch Doctor who had instructions plus a lifetime money back policy.

I didn't expect this, but the lights for the switches were brighter, clearly visible (looks like the stock lights were replaced with LEDs, which makes it look really nice and updated). Switch panel works perfectly with all windows. Recommended buy.

Silver, not black as pictured

Item delivered was silver, with green illumination, rather than black, so it doesn't match the surrounding housing. Easy to install, and it rolls the windows up and down, solving my problem of a rear passenger window that was stuck down.

Simplest fix ever! Removed old unit with putty blade, removed 3 wiring connectors. Put connectors on new unit & snapped the device in place. All windows work, locks work. Added plus: the controls are illuminated!! Great price, wonderful product.

Great value. I have no idea how long it will last, but it plugged in and worked perfectly out of the box. The color is not exact, but I honestly don’t care. It’s close enough that I can’t imagine anyone noticing. Function matters much more anyway. At one tenth of the cost of new OEM, I’ll take the gamble.

Works for 99 v70

$138 for oem part on rock auto. This switch is as colored so dark gray not black and works perfectly in my 1999 Volvo V70 and fixed my problem of rear pass window not going up. Very pleased with value and quality of switch

Fits great in the door panel, plugs right in and works properly. Fixed the problem of the right rear window only working from the right rear switch. Not exactly the same color as the OEM, but it might be because of fading on the OEM switch panel from 1999, and it’s definitely close enough for me.

Easy to connect for the main switch. Solve the problem of my Volvo which fit perfectly on the Windows not rolling down. It was easy to pop out the original master switch and replace it with this new one. Everything works great and there is no issue with rolling down or putting up the windows.

Great replacement part for the price, the lights on the buttons are maybe a little too bright at night and don’t dim with the rest of the panel lights in the car, but way better than alternative pricing from auto stores and even used parts from the junk yard.
