I was skeptical because of the huge price difference between what the dealer was selling it for ($68) vs the price here on Switch Doctor. The window switch on my daughter's car was malfunctioning (If you touched the driver's window switch, the window would automatically roll all the way down but would not work to roll it up) so she had to use her key to lock the car and roll her window up. I bought this item as money was a little tight and it is honestly one of my best purchases. We removed the old switch easily and installed this with no issues. Works perfectly and was the same weight, style and build as the switch we removed. Would buy again.

I bought this for my 2012 Jetta GLI and it fit and works perfect. Honestly, it's probably the easiest thing I've ever replaced in a car. The air filter in the engine bay is harder to replace than this thing. Used a tiny flat head screwdriver to pop the cover off and then it's self explanatory plug and play. Hope this helps!

Buttons have a nice somewhat firm/positive action to them and all the auto features worked fine when I tested it out. Just waiting on the door actuator to come in so I can put the door together and see how this lasts.Backlit just like oem and it snapped into the trim piece and seems solid. A button on the original cracked and the manual up was super touchy and I'd almost have to pull it far enough to hit the auto up before it would go up manually so I got this one. Going to keep the old one around just in case this fails then I can just swap the button over to the oem and deal with the touchiness.Also fyi, the stock one will let the front passenger operate the window when locked and only locks out the rear, this one is the same way.

VW window switches are infamous for failure, either from age or the constant wetness from open windows in the rain. If you have VW window problems, I'd replace the switch first, it's easy and cheap with this switch from Switchdoctor. No need to remove the door panel, just pop out the switch panel and remove the switch from the backside. Plenty of help online.This switch didn't have the chrome trim, and is missing the first "detent" feel in the travel to control non-express travel. I adapted quickly for 1/3 the price of the VW part.

Nothing worse than being out of town on a business trip, and having your windows get stuck in the down position. Don’t you just love driving down the highway at 70 miles an hour with your hair blowing around? With fast shipping, this master switch arrived the following day. It was very easy to install, but it wasn’t a perfect fit. I ended up having to duck tape it into place. And it rides just a centimeter or two lower than the original factory equipment. That being said, all the windows work great now, and I am exceptionally pleased with both the price and performance of this part.

I actually prepared myself for the install by viewing a couple YouTube videos on how to remove the old switch and install the new. It took roughly 10 minutes using a flat head screwdriver. The Color of the lights are the same as the old switch. The only difference is the new switch didn’t have rhe silver tips. That was the least of my worries. Happy customer!!!

This window switch is surprisingly sturdy for $15. It doesn’t feel like you can beat it up like the OEM one but definitely feels like it will hold up. I’ve had it about a month or two now and had the same red glow as the old switches in the night and honestly feels the exact same. It’s super easy to install I thought I was going to have to take off my whole door panel but I just pop off the side master control piece and swap the two switches. Really made my crappy front window that would roll down randomly stay up so I would for sure recommend

Switch for my VW arrived promptly and as advertised. It fit properly, and was easy to install. (Hint--when removing the old switch, which is held in by 6 tabs, don't battle trying to release the tabs. It's easier to slide a sharp utility knife between the switch and the wall of the enclosure, and simply slice the tabs off--they're small and thin. Then the switch pops right out.) VW dealership wanted approximately $130 for the OEM version of this switch!

What can you say, this product is exactly as described. It replaces the original switch set for a fraction of the original cost, fits like OEM, and took less than 10 minutes to install. This window switch saved me over $400 from what the dealership wanted to charge to install the switch. Took me 15 minutes. Fit perfectly in the housing on my 2013 Jetta S. It doesn't have the silver tips, which is actually good because they all fell off of the original buttons anyway. Highly recommend this switch for replacing.

Great price not easy to install not the product shortcoming but how the 2012 VW Jetta is designed.Only issue I had it does not have the silver/chrome finish I had on the original was not on this unit but for the Price I am not complaining it is 2012 model Jetta so all good.
